About me

I offer indoor and outdoor counselling and psychotherapy. Following a Bachelors undergraduate degree in Social Anthropology and Government I embarked on a career in the caring professions. Nine years ago I started retraining in a four year advanced (post-graduate) course in Transactional Analysis psychotherapy. Following two years volunteering as a counsellor at Beacon Counselling in Bramhall, I am now in my fifth year of private practice. After completing my Certificate in Therapeutic Counselling I pursued a long held interest in working outdoors by completing further training in Taking Therapy Outside and Elemental Body work. I am also part of a professional development group of outdoor therapists.

I am drawn to the power of people’s stories and the webs of meaning that can be discovered within them. I am interested in our relationship with ourselves, and how this informs how we relate to other people and the world around us. Supporting others to realise their potential for living freer, richer more meaningful lives continues to be a driving force for me.
